Progenics is an AABB-accredited facility with successful transplant experience. Its laboratory is dedicated solely to the processing and cryopreservation of human umbilical cord blood stem cells. Our laboratory facility is designed with many safeguards against possible human, equipment and power failures. We have the most technologically advanced laboratory equipment and our laboratory staff of highly qualified professionals is under the supervision of Dr. H. Yang, an internationally recognized authority on cord blood banking.

Our mission is to provide the highest quality processing and long term storage of cord blood stem cells in a safe environment to ensure their availability to you when you need them.

Our cord blood processing, cryopreservation, and storage are managed by an electronic database and inventory control system. A computerized barcode system is utilized to uniquely identify each individual sample. All cord blood is processed under the strictest sterile conditions in a closed system.

We use a unique enhanced processing procedure developed by Dr. H. Yang to maximize the extraction of cord blood stem cells from each sample. Additionally, the stem cells and their viability are enumerated and assessed by sophisticated flow-cytometry via an automated program.
